In partnership with NALED and the City of Novi Pazar, with the support of the US Embassy and Ministry of Agriculture, Ethno Network would like to invite you to join the DIPLOMATIC DAY of the “1st WEAVERS’ COLONY IN NOVI PAZAR”. The visit will take place on 10th November 2021, at 10:00hrs. The guests will gather in front of the City Hall, 2 Stevana Nemanje Street, Novi Pazar.
The event’s hosts will welcome state and local officials, diplomats and media to enjoy the festive programme of the 1st Weavers’ Colony on Wednesday, 10th November, and convey a message about the importance of preserving the rich cultural heritage and stunning nature of Sandzak region.
Gathering craftswomen from all over Serbia, the colony provides a unique platform to promote the art of weaving as one of the country’s signature traditional crafts.
Travel details: The city of Novi Pazar is some 3.5-hours’ drive from Belgrade. To take full advantage of this colony gathering, we recommend that you travel on the afternoon of 9th November and join us for an evening meal and guided local tour.
