The MK Group announces a new investment cycle and setting of higher standards in luxury hotel service
The Grand Hotel at Mt. Kopaonik, one of our most renowned and prestigious hotels, will be fully redesigned by the end of this year, thanks to a capital investment of 20 million euros of the MK Group, its parent company, allocated for the improvement of hotel service and offering for guests.
With this investment, the Grand Hotel, as the pioneer of modern tourism at Mt. Kopaonik, will ensure its leadership position in the year of celebrating its 40th anniversary. Thus, the new investment cycle will mark this significant milestone in the best possible manner. Works commenced on April 12 and their completion is expected by the start of the winter season this December.
The investment will include the reconstruction of all public spaces and offerings for guests, with the main focus on the spa segment, and a prominent company, which is behind the best spa centres in the Alpes, will be engaged for their construction. Opening of the first fine dining restaurant at Mt. Kopaonik this winter is only the introduction to everything that guests may expect in brand new restaurants and bars with a top-class gastronomic offering. It is also planned to build a modern underground garage, which will resolve the issue of parking in the most efficient manner. Guests will also have garage spaces for electric vehicles at their disposal, contributing to environmental protection, the area that the company will particularly focus on in the upcoming period. A special touch of luxury will be added to the new ‘Residences’ section, including a private spa centre, garage, reception desk and all other offerings necessary for absolute comfort and VIP treatment of guests.
‘For more than 40 years, the Grand Hotel has been setting trends and introducing novelties in the segment of supreme hotel service. Our guests recognise and appreciate quality, which is why we are preparing new offerings with great ambitions, as they will make a big difference in regard to the standards of luxury hotel service. Also, it is the main prerequisite for attracting new tourists and expanding towards foreign markets. We are developing the offering in the direction of maximum comfort, exclusive services and a personalised approach to each guest. In addition to the enhancement of all these segments, we will pay special attention to development and training of our employees, so that they can be the best ambassadors of or brand,’ noted Radoš Đorđević, Director of the MK Resort and the Grand Hotel.
Since 2009 and the acquisition of the largest hotel complex, the MK Group has invested more than 50 million euros in its facilities and contributed to the development of Mt. Kopaonik as the most relevant mountain tourist destination in Serbia and the region.
