The “2024 SILK ROAD REDISCOVERY TOUR OF BEIJING” summit began in Beijing, a summit of the Silk Road to which celebrities from all over the world were invited and which the city of Beijing organizes in cooperation with China Media Group
Among the participants of the summit are famous artists, directors of media houses, former ministers of information and influencers from as many as 39 countries. Serbia is represented at this summit by our well-known fashion photographer and artist Pavel Surovi from Kisač, who is also the director of the Kisač Cultural Center.
This is what he had to say on his experience so far:
“First of all, it is a great honor for me that such a great country of China recognized my artistic work, and after numerous visits by Chinese delegations to Kisac and the Cultural Center in Kisac, the representatives of the city of Beijing chose me to be their guest. They liked the idea of how I could photograph folk costumes which I followed for the opening of the European Capital of Culture – Novi Sad, that they have such popularity in the world and with the audience that they are exhibited in many European cities.”
“I have never experienced such hospitality anywhere in the world. They take care of us at every step, each guest has an assigned personal translator, who is also at your service at all times. I was assigned Mizzo, who works as an overseas American correspondent for Beijing Radio.”
“Beijing and China are changing and transforming before your eyes. We saw amazing cultural centers, private museums, an opera house, the largest modern library in the world, innovative development centers and companies that produce robots and unmanned cars and trucks. The biggest attraction is in front of us and that is the Forbidden City. I am happy to be able to represent the Republic of Serbia, the City of Novi Sad. Kisač Cultural Center, as well as presenting your works of art in Beijing!”
“The organizer decided to put my photo on the poster of this year’s Beijing Summit.
I am the only participant of the summit who brought gifts to the representatives of the City and China Media Group and the organizers. It represents a great gift of attention for them!”
