Landing of Lufthansa aircraft on flight LH1406 to Belgrade, marked the 50th anniversary of Lufthansa’s continuous presence in Serbia. On the occasion of this important anniversary, in cooperation with Aerodrom Nikola Tesla Belgrade, a special event was organized to celebrate the success of this airline over the past five decades.
The event was attended by: Bernhard Wodl, General Manager for the markets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia in the Lufthansa Group, Miodrag Mirković, director of commercial business and marketing of Aerodrom Nikola Tesla Belgrade, Jovanka Obradović Schiedel, Deputy Director of Lufthansa in 1967 when the first Lufthansa flight between Germany and Serbia, H E Axel Dittmann, Ambassador of Germany to Serbia. The jubilee flight was carried out by Airbus A321, which flew from Frankfurt to Belgrade and vice versa. The plane itself was retro-branded, and the crew of Lufthansa at the event was present in retro uniforms, which is an additional symbol of respect for tradition and past times. Passengers who arrived from Frankfurt, as well as passengers leaving for Frankfurt by flight LH1407, received symbolic gifts.
