The 72nd anniversary of the existence of the United Nations was marked in Belgrade.
Representatives of this world organisation in Serbia praised the Serbian army and the police for their contribution to the preservation of peace in the world. Head of the UN Office in Belgrade Simona-Mirela Miculescu said at a ceremony held at the Student Cultural Centre that the UN commends the professionalism of Serbian peacekeepers, as well as Serbia’s efforts to increase the number of women in peacekeeping missions.
