Spanish companies this year for the third time perform at the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, which is a great confirmation of the ever closer cooperation with Serbia.
Thanks to the Commercial and Economic Department of the Embassy of Spain in Belgrade and the Spanish Export and Investment Promotion Agency (ICEX), Serbian businessmen exchanged experiences with six companies that are experts in the field of technology and equipment in agriculture. Javier Álvarez, Economic and trade advisor, said: “The agriculture and livestock sector plays an important role in Spain, while for it is an even more important food sector and the agricultural machinery and technology sector, where Spain is the world leader in various segments. The natural resources of northern Spain allowed the development of certain cultures, but the droughty regions of the south made this task more difficult. However, innovation and technological development have enabled Spain to position itself among the leading countries in the production of fruits and vegetables, as well as ready-made food products (olive oil and canned food) or wines”.
