The Ambassador of Egypt in Belgrade, Amr AlJowaily, hosted a dinner reception for the National Basketball Team and the Serbian participants in the second edition of the World Youth Forum, attended by Darko Stanic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Serbia, Vukasin Grozdanovic, Sade the Youth Capital of 2019 “in northern Serbia.
Ambassador Amr Aljowaily highlighted that the field of youth and sports is a priority in the embassy’s activity, given the value of youth initiatives in social work, creative ideas in cultural work, and the role played by sport as a form of featured national representation reaching the large crowds that follow their activities. The Ambassador of Egypt to Serbia said that a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the Egyptian and Serbian Ministries of Youth and Sports this week, adding that its entry into force in the future will have a positive effect not only in sports through facilitating friendly matches, training camps and the exchange of trainers and technical expertise, but also in the field of youth exchange and students at the level of national universities in the two countries.
The Ambassador of Egypt in Belgrade praised the program prepared by Captain Amr Abulkhair, head coach and technical director, and Captain Sabri Abdel Nabi, general coach of the National Basketball Team in the framework of the training camp in Serbia in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers. Team Captain Rami Junidi reassured that the team will make the utmost effort to take advantage of the technical capabilities available in the training camp in Serbia, in preparation of the World Cup qualifications.
During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation between the cities of Aswan, the African Youth City and Novi Sad, the 2019 European Youth City. Serbian participants in the World Youth Forum highlighted their their desire to coordinate cooperation between representatives of junior business forums In order to benefit from the innovative capacities of young managers and entrepreneurs, especially in the fields of creative industries and small and medium enterprises.
The activities of the embassy this year mark the 110th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
