Association “Duško Gojković Jazz Initiative” presented the edition of the monograph publication of Duško Gojković’s “Dusko Goykovich’s Songbook” last night. The preface was written by Stjepko Gut and the book was prepared by Vladislav Tomanić and Marko Krstić, while the designer was Dragan Todorovic.
The Association is particularly grateful to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany for support, partnership and recognition of the importance of this edition.
Bearing in mind that Duško Gojković is an artist who, by his way of life and with his musical work, immersed the essence of art, and the fact that the Association aims to promote top artistic values, this book represents the first capital project that the Association has realized.
Duško Gojković, one of the most important jazz bands on the territory of Europe, composer, arranger and band leader. He was born in 1931 in Jajce, in the then Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He studied at the Music Academy in Belgrade, when he joined the Big Band Radio Beograd as an eighteen year old, but considered him a talented young jazz soloist.
