This year’s third Business Forum Serbia – Slovenia titled “Digitization of Economy and State” was held in the Palace of Serbia on January 28, 2019.
After the introductory words by the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Čadež and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia Boštjan Gorjup, the two presidents of the countries – Aleksandar Vučić and
Borut Pahor addressed the audience.
The President of Slovenia Borut Pahor stressed that his visit to Serbia is aimed at strengthening the confidence and mutual respect of the two countries.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that on behalf of Serbia he can say that the relations between the two countries are very important and that in the last 10 years the trade between Serbia and Slovenia has increased two and a half times.
Three panels were organized at the forum. The central panel discussed the topic “Digitization of Economy and State”. The other two panels discussed “Current Trends in the Development of a Tourist Offer – the Glamping Case” and the Circular Economy.
During the day, B2B meetings were organized, more than 250 of them were additional proof of how important Slovenia and Serbia are to each other in their foreign trade exchanges.
The business forum was organized in cooperation between both chambers of commerce and the European Entrepreneurship Network. The Slovenian business club was a co-organizer of the event itself, where a large number of SPK members took part.
The sponsor of this year’s business forum was NLB Banka, a member of the Slovenian Business Club, who had at the forum a presentation on the economic situation and trends in Serbia and Slovenia.
