Generali Osiguranje Serbia is the partner of the Novi Sad Fair for the eighth consecutive year and the general sponsor of the International Agricultural Fair.
On the stand of Generali Osiguranja, in Aula Novi Sad Fair, agricultural producers and other visitors will be able to get acquainted with products of insurance of agriculture, animals, machinery and households, and with other products that can financially protect themselves, their families and production.
The fair is extremely important for linking and exchanging experiences of state institutions, manufacturers, food industry, insurance companies and banks. For Generali Osiguranje Serbia is also an opportunity to present, in the domestic insurance market, modern technologies that it uses in the field of agricultural insurance – an appraisal of damage to crops and fruits, dron and many others. The basic characteristics of the application are: more precise and efficient assessment and processing of damage to crops and fruits, defining the location of damaged plots, checking the type of crops and the area of the plot, monitoring the status of damage processing and editing damage on the electronic map of Serbia. The main benefits of using drones are the significant increase in the transparency, speed and precision of determining the condition of crops and fruits prior to insurance and after damage occurring, as well as a significant reduction in the cost of carrying out insurance.
In Serbia, about 15% of plant production and only 5% of the cattle are provided, which is far below the average of the economically developed countries. One of the reasons for this is the traditional distrust of farmers against financial institutions. Generali Osiguranje Serbia wants to help them overcome these prejudices.
The increase in the number of insured farmers, especially in the Moravian, Zlatibor and Kolubara districts, should be affected by a regulation that increased subsidies for insured agricultural production from 40% to 70%. This will be discussed more extensively at the press conference that will be held on May 16 in the Master Center of Novi Sad Fair.
