Shared values of employees and the company, our 5 principles – quality, responsibility, mutuality, efficiency and freedom have again proved to be a model that works also in these circumstances
We spoke with Predrag Milinčić, Regional Market Director for Mars Balkan East about current situation and organizing business activities during the state of emergency. “We are in daily communication with the authorities and health institutions in order to timely adapt to the new circumstances. At the same time, we are trying to estimate the effect of corona virus on our operations, adjust communication and prepare donations”, said Mr. Milinčić.
How did you organize your business activities?
Our priority are the health, safety and wellbeing of our associates and their families. Therefore, we took all necessary preventive measures in accordance with the recommendations of the Government of Serbia, and we are in daily communication with the authorities and health institutions in order to timely adapt to the new circumstances. At the same time, we are trying to estimate the effect of corona virus on our operations, adjust communication, prepare donations, and we are focused on key activities to deliver our products to our users.
Work from home or elsewhere has long been present in daily functioning of our company so we haven’t had any significant changes in work process so far. Shared values of employees and the company, our 5 principles – quality, responsibility, mutuality, efficiency and freedom have again proved to be the right approach and a model that works also in these circumstances.
How do you spend your private time during the pandemic?
Probably like everybody else since limited movement significantly reduces number of things you can do. I mostly spend time that I have, when I’m not on various online meetings, reading an interesting book or watching films and series. This distracts me from daily happenings, and at the same time, I keep up with all topics that interest me, and for which on “regular “days I don’t have enough time.
What is the first thing you will do once the state of emergency is lifted?
I’m picturing myself at that moment already, and the first thing I think I’ll do is try to stay outdoors for as long as possible. To gather as much energy in the sun, as we will need it to remedy the damage to our business that will certainly occur after the current situation. And to end with optimism – I believe recovery is possible, it is only a matter of time and resources.
