Faciliting Regional evacuation of Stranded Egyptian nationals from Six Balkans Countries on Air Cairo flight from Belgrade to Marsa Alam
On April 24, Friday evening, Air Cairo flight departing from Belgrade arrived to Marsa Alam, in a regional evacuation of stranded Egyptian nationals from Serbia, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Bulgaria. Through extensive coordination among embassies of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Belgrade, Zagreb, Tirana, Sarajevo, Budapest, Sofia, Prague and Athens, the two-day regional evacuation process included land transport from various countries neighboring Serbia, to match with the timing of the flight from Belgrade International Airport.
Ambassador of Egypt in Belgrade, Amr Aljowaily, expressed sincere gratitude and high appreciation to the Serbian Government, represented by several authorities coordinate by the Esteemed Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the exceptional assistance in securing necessary permits to operate the special flight, cross land borders for the stranded Egyptian nationals arriving from neighboring countries to Belgrade International Airport.
