Through the “Clean with love” project, Lidl Serbia invites interested organizations to apply for the competition and potentially receive financial support in the amount of up to 1,000 euros for the implementation of one-day cleaning actions in Serbia. This project aims to motivate and support citizens in taking the initiative for a clean environment and nature in which they live, all in line with Lidl’s strategy “For a better tomorrow”
All that organizations need to do in order to apply for support in the cleaning actions of their area within the project, is to send a proposal for the action by March 20 to the e-mail odgovornost@lidl.rs. Application is made by sending a form that is available on the company’s website, in which the organization provides information about its name, the number of participants, the method of waste disposal, the place and date of the action, as well as its nature.
Lidl will select partner organizations in such a way as to ensure an even geographical distribution of cleaning sites, and the focus will be on the proposed method of disposal of collected waste after actions. Organized cleaning actions that the company decides to support must be carried out in the period from April 1st to May 24th, and the money used for the purchase of necessary equipment, refreshments, T-shirts, and things alike.
“After last year’s very successful project with over 600 participants, which resulted in the removal of 14 tons of waste from nature, this year we hope for an even better result. Our activities do not stop here, we are particularly focused on everything we can do in terms of more responsible packaging, so we reduce the amount of raw materials used for packaging, reuse the same raw materials or move on to nature-friendly options”, said the head of Corporate Communications at Lidl Serbia, Martina Petrović.
