Fashion and design. Palazzo Birčaninova, residence of the Italian Ambassador in Belgrade, hosted yesterday evening the fashion show of the Serbian NGO “Dress for Success”, which since 1997 has been involved in supporting female empowerment and social inclusiveness
For the fashion show, the Dress for Success presented the clothes with which it participated in Turin Fashion Week 2021. and 2022. Thanks to the collaboration of the entire “Sistema Italia” in Serbia (Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, ICE Office, Confindustria Serbia and Chamber of Italian-Serbian Commerce), the halls of the Embassy were embellished by an exhibition created for the Italian Design Day 2023. and made up of iconic pieces of Italian design, from furniture to lighting, which will remain open to the public until 28 June.
With this event, during which a charity collection of clothing for women in disadvantaged conditions was organized, the first edition of IFIB – Italian Fashion in Belgrade closes, the exhibition dedicated to the Italian fashion industry organized by the Italian Embassy in Belgrade, the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade and Vesna Mandić’s “Fabrika” agency.
“IFIB has received an extraordinary response from the Serbian public. In recent weeks we have combined fashion with theatre, cinema, art, tailoring and design, in the name of Made in Italy and Italian creativity”, declared the H. E. Ambassador of Italy in Serbia, Luca Gori.
