By signing the Agreement on collaboration, DDOR osiguranje Novi Sad and the Gallery of Matica srpska continue with their successful joint effort of promoting the Serbian cultural heritage and a responsible relationship towards the local and wider social community. The leading insurance company in Serbia and the leading museum institution are connected via exceptionally developed corporate awareness of collaboration and mutual support, directed towards the development and improvement of living and working conditions for our citizens.
Upon signing the Agreement on collaboration, Manager of Galerija Matica srpska, Tijana Palkovljević-Bugarski, PhD, said: “The Gallery of Matica srpska, as an institution with a long tradition, genuinely believes in the power of partnership and togetherness. Therefore, we carefully choose our partners and, together with them we develop long-term projects of mutual importance. DDOR is an insurance company with which we share not only the square where our company buildings are placed, but also the joint values of preservation and presentation of cultural heritage. At the same time, we recognise the importance of investments in the quality of living of our community through culture, art, and modern creativeness”, and added: “We truly believe that we will organise notable exhibitions and projects, especially in the year when Novi Sad is the European Capital of Culture, which all the companies and citizens of Novi Sad are proud of.”
In his addressing, Giorgio Marchegiani, PhD, CEO of DDOR said: “Besides within our business mission, we at DDOR believe in creativity and innovativeness in every aspect of presence and operations. Thus, beyond the fact that management of both institutions nurture excellent relations and good reciprocal understanding, as leaders at this market and part of the strong international Unipol Group it is absolutely natural that we confirm our already existing cooperation with Galerija Matice srpske, a leading cultural institution in Serbia. We hope to have a great success like we did with the previous projects like “Inspirisani Italijom” or “International conservation of paintings Conference”. Also, we appreciate the effort of the Matica’s experts for the preparation of our fine art collection catalogue. We at DDOR are all truly looking forward to this partnership.”
The two recognisable symbols of Novi Sad are joining their forces in preparing and realising exceptional and diverse artistic programs and cultural activities that will be represented within the project “Novi Sad – the European Capital of Culture”. A special accent is put on international exhibitions that will highlight the importance and value of the Serbian artistic heritage, as well as its position in the European cultural model and area. At the same time, the Gallery’s experts will examine the collection of artworks collected within DDOR Company, and it will be presented to the public next year.
In addition to mutual care for cultural values, DDOR osiguranje Novi Sad and the Gallery of Matica srpska share the same space at Trg galerija (Gallery Square), which is recognised as the future hub of artistic gatherings and promotion of cultural values.
