Her Excellency Mrs. Aleksandra Joksimovic, Ambassador from the Republic of Serbia in UK, was received by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Serbian Ambassador handed over today’s credentials to Queen Elizabeth II, and she sent a message from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that the royal family is welcome to Belgrade and that their visit, such as the one from 2016, when Prince Charles visited Serbia , contributes to better mutual relations.
She also talked with the queen about the common history of the two countries and reminded her of the recent celebration of 180 years of Serbian-British relations.
The Ambassador highlighted the First World War as important moments for a common history in which, along with Serbian fighters, Admiral Ernest Troubridge and Lady Padgett took part.
– We sincerely hope that the next generation of the royal family will be ready to visit Serbia – said Joksimovic, who gave the Queen a Collection of papers on the subject of 180 years of Serbian-British relations.
Queen Elizabeth was presented with the diplomatic staff of the Serbian Embassy in London, reports Tanjug.

Joksimovic, former President of the Center for Foreign Policy, took on a new function on November 1 last year.
