For many years, the education system and professional orientation of young people have been recognised as issues that have a deep impact on the Serbian economy and unemployment rates. Among other things, the recently launched German-Serbian Initiative for Sustainable Growth and Employment will facilitate mainstream debate, improve existing activities and better plan future activities that will support and shape growth and employment in Serbia. This political dialogue among key partners in Serbia will be jointly facilitated by official German development cooperation, funded by the German Government.
