In the year when it celebrates half a century of business in Serbia, the Coca-Cola system presented a new strategic direction for investments in the local community – the platform “Coca-Cola for the Young”.
In the forthcoming period, the company will focus on professional and personal development through programmes aimed at a wide range of young people (high school pupils, students, graduates, postgraduates, unemployed) in order to empower them and increase their employability. In the presence of Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Šarčević, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Čadež and numerous organisations, the present contribution of the company through the current programmes was presented. “This helps them get better jobs and better help does not exist. We want young people to stay in Serbia and find good jobs in some of the big foreign companies that operate in Serbia and thank Coca-Cola for contributing to it” said Šarčević. The public was presented with a donation to the organization “Jaki mladi” in the amount of 30,000 EUR, which within the framework of the SOS Children’s Village Foundation supports the self-employment of young people without parental care after their 18 years of age. The funds collected are intended for the beneficiaries of this organisation to start their businesses.
