An installation that slowly and quietly develops in synergy with the very space of the Balkan Cinema and its monumental structure which offers myriad possibilities.
Milena follows her personal impulses creating the unity between the sensory and the intuitive.
Her monochrome, purified and organic works form cycles that beget the established rhythms of nature.
Everything is connected and coexists in harmony.
There are no disturbances or tension; contrasts are there only to intensify
and provoke the dialogue between strong pigments, shadows, light and darkness, creating rhythms that meditatively take us into the realm of the universal.
The exhibition is realized in collaboration with the Contemporary Art Centre of Montenegro
Milena Mijović Durutović (1971) is a visual artist and curator. She completed her basic studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje and obtained her master’s degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. She has been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro (ULUCG) since 1994. She has exhibited at a number of solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. She is a winner of awards and acknowledgements in the field of art and her works are featured in significant museum, gallery and private collections. She has been a curator at the Contemporary Art Centre of Montenegro since 1996. She is an expert consultant in the field of interior design and furniture. She lives and works in Podgorica.
