Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation organised a working breakfast for media representatives presenting the final results of the project “Support to Local Communities in Response to the Refugee Crisis” implemented with the financial support USAID at Epigenia Bar.
Ana Koeshall, Director of the Foundation pointed out that “one of the priorities of the international community should be continuation of care for local communities that bear the burden of the refugee crisis.” A $700,000 project is being implemented in 7 municipalities in Serbia most affected by the refugee crisis (Subotica, Šid, Tutin, Sjenica, Preševo, Dimitrovgrad, Lajkovac) and Belgrade. Within the project, ECG devices were donated to 6 municipalities worth $9,000, as well as school furniture and computer equipment in 7 primary schools in municipalities where the project was implemented in the amount of $30,000. Also, the Gajret humanitarian organization within the Bajrakli mosque received donations worth $7200 – an automatic food packaging machine and washing and drying machine.
