Eurobank Direktna realised a new donation within its stand-alone CSR project, “A School Designed for You”, at the Secondary School of Economics and Commerce in Bor
Thanks to the funds raised with the “Eurobank Direktna Big Heart” Mastercard affinity credit card, IT equipment worth more than RSD 500,000 has been provided to the school. As a result, the use of computer lab will be further enhanced and, with the procurement of new software packages, these computers will be used by economics technicians for economic operations and accounting, and also by tourism and hospitality technicians for agency and hospitality practice.
Furthermore, in a partnership with the publishing company Laguna, Eurobank Direktna provided students of the Secondary School of Economics and Commerce with the opportunity to meet journalist and writer Vanja Bulić, with whom they socialised and discussed various topics. Aiming to bring to the student’s museum exhibitions that are not common in their city, the Bank launched the educational program titled “Travelling Museum” in collaboration with the “House of Jevrem Grujić”, Museum of History, Arts and Diplomacy in Belgrade, offering schools countrywide with journeys through Serbia’s history and culture, curator’s lectures and practical work and workshops presenting various art skills to students.
“We are exceptionally glad for the opportunity to realise the donation to the Secondary School of Economics and Commerce in Bor. Supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and our clients, users of the “Eurobank Direktna Big Heart” Mastercard affinity credit card, we provided this school with the necessary IT equipment, worth more than RSD 500,000, which will improve the quality of their education. With this project, the Bank has confirmed its strategic orientation toward investing in youth development and creating better conditions for their future professional training. Also, by cooperating with the publishing company Laguna and the “House of Jevrem Grujić“ Museum, we aim to bring to secondary school students across Serbia various cultural events, within their respective schools” – said Slavica Pavlović, President of the Executive Board in Eurobank Direktna.
„We are grateful to Eurobank Direktna for its continuous investment in education and schools of economics across Serbia. Thanks to this important donation to the Secondary School of Economics and Commerce in Bor, students and teachers will have the computer lab with the latest IT equipment at their disposal. It will additionally enhance the teaching and learning process and students will be better prepared for the labour market” – said State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development Zoran Kasalović.
