In the presence of the representatives of Eurobank, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, as well as the head of school, teachers and students, a new electronic language laboratory was opened today at the “Stana Milanović” Secondary School of Economics in Šabac.
Apart from that, the school library was equipped with laptops which enable students to read e-books. The state-of-the-art equipment for learning foreign languages, worth over 1 million dinars, was purchased with the funds collected through the affinity MasterCard – Eurobank Big Heart, as part of the project “School Designed for You”.
“Since it was founded in Serbia in 2003, Eurobank has been pursuing the strategy of dynamic and successful growth and at the same time making a contribution to the community in which it operates through numerous projects and initiatives. I am pleased that last year we launched the first standalone project titled “School Designed for You”, which was supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, as well as the City Secretariat for Education and Child Welfare. In June students of the First Secondary School of Economics in Belgrade were provided with a modernly equipped classroom for statistics and accounting, and today we have officially opened a modern electronic language laboratory in Šabac, which will be available to all students of “Stana Milanović” Secondary School of Economics. We owe a special thanks to our clients, holders of the affinity MasterCard “Eurobank Big Heart”, who recognized the importance of this project and made it possible by using the card on regular basis,” said Slavica Pavlović, President of the Executive Board of Eurobank.
“Eurobank valued the project’s quality as well as the school’s agility, met the students’ needs, and demonstrated serious commitment to social responsibility. All those that invest in quality education in Serbia are our dear partners, and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development will always support them. I believe that this is an essential investment in the future of Serbia” said Dr Aleksandar Pajić, Special Advisor to the Minister for Education, Science and Technological Development.
