The opening of the conceptual exhibition dedicated to the works of one of the greatest Yugoslav painters, Petar Lubarda, entitled “Petar Lubarda: One painter, 15 photographers, 30 works of art”, will be held on October 24, 2024, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Petar Lubarda Legacy
In cooperation with the Secretariat for Culture of the Belgrade City Assembly, Color Media Communications continues the popularization of famous Serbian and Yugoslav painters, with the engagement of famous art and fashion photographers.
“After the exhibitions at the Sava Šumanović Gallery in Šid, Milan Konjović in Sombor, the Museum of the City of Belgrade, where Paja Jovanović’s original canvases were exhibited along with classical quotes or avant-garde visions of his most famous works, the photographers dived into the magical world of the icon of Serbian modernism, Milena Pavlović Barilli , so that last year they found themselves in front of the work of the great painter and war heroine, Nadežda Petrović.
This time, on the fiftieth anniversary of the death of the famous artist, the Legat of Petar Lubarda is hosting a new conceptual exhibition dedicated to the works of one of the greatest Yugoslav painters of the 20th century, Petar Lubarda,” says Robert Čoban, president of Color Press Group, organizer of the exhibition and author of the concept.
At the opening of the exhibition, he will speak:
- Nataša Vacić Mihailović, Secretary for Culture of the City of Belgrade
- Filip Brusić-Renaud, director of the House of Legates, Belgrade
- Duška Jovanić, author of the exhibition
- Robert Čoban, president of Color Press Group, organizer of the exhibition and author of the concept
“It was not easy to “cross the line” for that exceptional artist, but also one of the most intriguing figures of the cultural and public life of post-war Belgrade. That’s why, it seems, the photographers: Marko Krunić, Boogie, Vuk Vidor, Vukica Mikača, Jasna Prolić, Monika Pavlović, shared with his wife and muse, Vera Lubard, to whom he was obsessively devoted until his death. Apparently, they managed to unravel that myth to some extent, so you have a different Petar Lubard, 15 selected photographers and 30 artists. works” pointed out Duška Jovanić, the author of this unique exhibition.
The exhibition will be open from October 24, 2024. until 01.01.2025. in the Legat of Petar Lubarda.
