In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Vip mobile has implemented the installation of 4G Internet routers in 25 primary schools in rural parts of Serbia.
Thanks to the “4G Classroom” project, the Internet has been provided in the advanced departments of schools to support teaching staff in digital education and further development of students in the field. The routers are installed in schools throughout Serbia, in the surrounding villages near Sremska Mitrovica, Čajetina, Požega, Preševo and other municipalities, and these departments are now connected with a very fast 4G network. In this way, the education of pupils in small classes was significantly improved, which due to distance did not have the conditions for education as primary school students in larger towns. At the same time, pupils will be able to make contact with peers from other schools through video calls and join the educational content of primary schools. The successful completion of the project was welcomed by Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Šarčević. “The opportunities that the Internet and new technologies offer in education are enormous, making digitization a priority for both companies and society as a whole,” Vip mobile CEO Dejan Turk said.
