The competition for the 15th, jubilee VIRTUS Award for Philanthropy has been announced
Belgrade, January 13, 2022 – Trag Foundation announces the launch of the competition for the 15th, jubilee VIRTUS Award for Philanthropy. The aim of the VIRTUS Award is to support companies, small and medium enterprises and individuals who have done good deeds over the previous year, launched philanthropic initiatives and thus contributed to community development. The VIRTUS Award is given with the intention of introducing the good deeds to the public and ensuring they are recognized in our communities. The VIRTUS Award for 2021 is presented with the financial support of the European Union and the Balkan Trust for Democracy.
„For fifteen years now, we have sought philanthropists who, with their humanitarian deeds, helped people who needed it and thus contributed to solving the problems of the communities in which they live and operate. Our goal is to support and highlight philanthropists and inspire others to initiate similar philanthropic activities in the future. We are very proud that the VIRTUS Award for Philanthropy has been recognized as a prestigious acknowledgment for all good people and representatives of the business sector. The number of applications increases every year, which shows that the VIRTUS Award has gained a reputation in society. We want to believe that the VIRTUS Award also contributed to the development of the idea of philanthropy in Serbia and the creation of a better world”, said Marija Mitrović, Philanthropy and Partnerships Director at Trag Foundation. She invited citizens, non-profit organizations, media, PR and marketing agencies, as well as companies and enterprises to nominate candidates for the VIRTUS Award for Philanthropy in the next month.
VIRTUS Award for 2021 will be presented in 5 main categories: Award for corporate philanthropy, Award for small and medium-size enterprises, Award for long-term partnership between business and civil sector, Award for individual philanthropy and Award for young philanthropists. The call for nominations begins on January 13th and will last until February 10, 2022. The winners of the VIRTUS awards for 2021 will be announced on April 12, 2022.
