Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Embassy of France in Serbia and the Franco-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, within the French Week, organised a business conference “City of the Future: the French experience”, which aimed to present some of France’s best solutions for using advanced technology to create sustainable cities.
The conference was opened by Deputy President of the Serbian Chamber Miroslav Miletić, Ambassador of France, HE Christine Moro, the president of the Franco-Serbian Chamber of Economy Dragoljub Damljanović. Mathieu Lucia from Egis, presented the example of the smart city through a half an hour 3D simulation of “Astainable”, carried out for the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana. This project, funded by the French government, included a large number of French companies. Special guest of the conference was Pierre Gautier, the famous French urbanist from the architectural bureau PGA Architects, who presented the project on the future of the city of Strasbourg. This was followed by presentations of other French groups like Schneider Electric, Suez Environnement, Veolia, Saint-Gobain, Alstom and Bouygues construction.
