On April 15, Air Serbia will establish a direct flight between Belgrade and Lisbon, which, according to Portuguese Ambassador Virginia Pina, is a reflection of the excellent relations between the two countries
-The Air Serbia flight between Belgrade and Lisbon will start on April 15, we will have departures twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and it will be a great opportunity for people from Serbia to get to know Portugal, but also for Portuguese people to get to know this wonderful country – Serbia – said the ambassador.
The introduction of a new direct Air Serbia route is also very positive for the expansion of the business community, said Pina and emphasized that this airline reflects the excellent political connections and connections between our two countries.
Air Serbia’s General Manager Commercial and Strategy Boško Rupić said that the new airline is a great opportunity for our tourists to reach Portugal and visit Lisbon in the fastest way.
– Portugal is not only a country of football, but also a country of great culture, history, great gastronomy – said Rupić and emphasized that thanks to the direct flight, Portugal has now become a new city break destination.
Until now, passengers have mostly traveled from Belgrade to Lisbon via Madrid, Amsterdam, or Frankfurt, and the trip took almost half a day, he said.
– Now you can get from Belgrade to Lisbon in four hours – stated Rupić and added that this advantage contributes to the generation of additional demand, which can be seen by the occupancy of our flights.
According to him, the first flight was 100 percent full from Serbia, these are people who are going on holiday, and there is already a high level of occupancy even for the May Day holidays.
