Generali expands coverage for life insurance customers and small and medium-sized enterprise owners and entrepreneurs to include COVID-19 – free of charge

Generali Osiguranje Srbija wishes to offer more protection to its customers in these extraordinary circumstances and has decided to expand coverage for the customers with small and medium-sized enterprise insurance policy and life insurance customers to include free coverage in case of illness caused by COVID-19

In order to offer additional protection to its life insurance customers and more financial security to their families, the company has decided to take special measures and to expand the coverage.

  • To all of our life insurance customers who have a stipulated daily hospital benefit in case of an accident, we are expanding coverage free of charge in the event of hospitalization due to COVID-19 infection. Insured persons will receive payment for days spent in a hospital and all other designated medical treatment centers.

Since we are aware of the important part small and medium-sized enterprises play in our country’s economy and the challenges they are facing at this time, the company has decided to help them overcome the consequences of business interruption caused by COVID-19 by providing additional coverage free of charge.

  • We will give all our customers who hold small and medium-sized enterprise insurance policies which include business interruption insurance an expansion of coverage to illness caused by COVID-19. The free coverage provides daily benefit to owners of small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs in case of hospitalization or admission to any designated COVID-19 treatment centers.

Generali Osiguranje Srbija has taken all the necessary measures in time to combat the coronavirus pandemic, in order to protect the health of its people and customers. The company has shown its solidarity and the desire to help the people of Serbia by paying for medical supplies needed to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Together with other members of the Association of Serbian Insurers, Generali Osiguranje Srbija has made a donation for the procurement of respirators, coronavirus tests, reagents and other medical supplies needed during the pandemic. The list of critical supplies was made in cooperation with the Office of the President of the Republic of Serbia and the Coronavirus Task Force.
