In Slovenia, Statehood Day of Serbia is celebrated

The Embassy of Serbia in Slovenia organized a formal reception on the occasion of the Statehood Day and the constitutionality of the Republic of Serbia. At the ceremony in Ljubljana, there were numerous distinguished figures and officials from the world of diplomacy, politics, society, and representatives of religious communities. On this occasion, Serbian Ambassador Zorana Vlatković emphasized that the relations between the two countries are at the highest level, and that Slovenia is a true friend of Serbia.


“On our road to the EU, our friends are very important to us, and we see Slovenia as a true and honest friend. In our region, friendship is kept and nurtured, and we will continue to do so with satisfaction” said Ambassador Vlatković, and stressed the importance of the economic relations of the two countries. “Slovenia is one of the most important economic partners of Serbia, with a large number of investments, over 1,500 Slovenian companies in Serbia employ 25,000 workers, and in recent years we have witnessed growing investments of Serbian companies in Slovenia” the ambassador said. She particularly pointed out that the citizens of the Serbian nationality contribute greatly to the Slovenian society.


“We are proud of the great Serbian community that lives in Slovenia and which is well integrated. Workers, doctors, engineers, artists and athletes make a great contribution to the Slovenian society and it is our desire that they continue to be loyal citizens of Slovenia, but also to preserve and nourish their culture, letter and tradition” said Ambassador Vlatković in her speech on Statehood Day Serbia, which was organized with the support of Serbian and Slovenian companies.
