Invitation to the round table for young businessmen from Serbia and Egypt
The Embassy of Egypt in Belgrade hosted foundational meeting of the Youth Platform of the Serbian Egyptian Friendship Association, with the presence of the President of the Association, diplomat Aneta Djermanovic and young members from Serbia, including last year’s participants of the World Youth Forum as well as this year’s candidates for the Forum, in addition to other founders of the association, graduates from the Faculty of Philology, department for Arabic language and literature.
Ambassador of Egypt to Serbia, Amr Aljowaily, said he had received a report from the Association on the conclusions reached at the meeting, including the adoption of the structure of the Youth Platform itself, consisting of various positions for which young members were elected. Nikola Stojanovic was selected as the main coordinator, including four other coordinators – for economic affairs, culture, media and membership.
Several particular suggestions were discussed for number of activities and events, including the organization of a round table for young entrepreneurs in June next year, on entrepreneurship and start-ups with the Egyptian counterparts from economic associations, as participants of the World Youth Forum expressed their desire to improve economic cooperation between the two countries, considering their participation at the Forum this week a great opportunity to start preparing joint activities.
At the beginning of the meeting, Aljowaily emphasized the importance of efforts aimed at strengthening youth cooperation initiatives, such as the recent appointment of Aswan and Novi Sad as African and European youth capitals.
