A gala celebrating opera was held on the 21st of June, at the Belgrade residence of Italian Ambassador, H.E Luca Gori
The event featured a performance by acclaimed Italian tenor Gianluca Sharpeletti.
Sharpeletti’s repertoire included works by the renowned composer Giacomo Puccini, whose 100th death anniversary is being commemorated this year. The performance also coincided with Serbia’s “Festival of Music,” prompting Sharpeletti to deliver additional pieces from the rich Italian musical tradition.
This collaborative effort between the Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade marked the centennial of the laying of the first stone for the Embassy’s Birčaninova building.
