“I’m very happy to launch a new route from Belgrade despite of current circumstances. This proves the confidence and trust that our airline has in the Serbian  market.  As we all know, the whole airline and tourism industry face unprecedented challenge due the pandemic.  All KLM staff, both on the ground and on board, are committed to guaranteeing our passengers the highest levels of health & safety. We took several sanitary measures on board and in the hub airport as well as adapted our sales & refund policy to provide  smooth, safe and hassle-free journeys.

I do hope, this new direct  route between Belgrade and Amsterdam will be a sign of optimism for the future, offering  a possibility of visiting the world, reuniting families and friends who live abroad, establishing new businesses between Serbia and The Netherlands and welcoming new foreign tourists in the city and region of Belgrade  with its important historic value.” – said Thijs Komen , General Manager Air France KLM  Central Europe, Alps and the Balkans

„It is my great pleasure to attend such a significant event today, the renewal of flights to Belgrade by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines after more than thirty years. As of today KLM will, in addition to the Serbian national carrier, connect the Serbian and Dutch capitals three times a week, while from mid-June the two capitals will be connected with  daily flights, by the aircrafts with 100 seats capacity.

I believe that KLM, like other airlines, will be satisfied with the efficiency and quality of the services we provide. We all know that the aviation industry is one of the most affected by the corona virus pandemic, and events like this give hope for a soon but gradual recovery of the entire aviation industry.

And finally, I hope that this is the beginning of a new history, and that you will open new routes from Belgrade in the future and increase the number of flights, thus increasing your passenger figures and cargo traffic in Belgrade. I wish you happy and successful future flights from Belgrade!” said Miodrag Mirković, Belgrade Airport Chief Commercial Officer.
