MK Group donated food worth 12,7 million dinars
MK Group continues to provide support to the population affected by the recent earthquakes in Croatia. Namely, MK Group was one of the first companies to send financial aid of 7.7 million dinars for the endangered and repair the consequences of the earthquake, and then members of MK Group – Carnex and Flora sent a donation of 7 tons of their products, including canned vegetables, cans of hummus and pate, worth 5 million dinars. The donation in products from MK Group member companies was sent to the Zagreb-Ljubljana Archdiocese, after the appeal and the recent visit of the Archbishop of Zagreb-Ljubljana Porfirije to Serbia.
”MK Group is among the first companies to send financial aid of 7.7 million dinars to help the population that suffered earthquakes in the area around Petrinja, Sisak, Glina and surrounding villages, and now we continue to provide support by donating basic foodstuffs. Certainly, donations cannot replace emotional, material losses and destroyed people’s homes, but we hope that with this support we will at least make the next period a little easier for the locals and help them recover from the earthquake”, said Aleksandra Stojanović, Corporate Director of MK Group.
With money and donations in products, MK Group once again shows responsibility and care for the communities in which it operates, especially in extraordinary circumstances.
Since its founding, MK Group has continuously provided support in 123 communities in which it operates, and last year alone, more than one million euros were allocated primarily for the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as for support to health workers. Having in mind the outstanding results, commitment and aid to the entire society, this company was declared the Most Socially Responsible Company in 2020, by the Serbian Association of Managers.
