The company MK Group is the winner of this year’s special award “Dobročinitelj” for the Palace of Science project
The awards were given as part of the BelgrAID humanitarian festival, organized by the My Serbia association, which promotes philanthropy and togetherness through art, music and education.
The Miodrag Kostić Endowment and the Palace of Science represent the first center for research and popularization of science in Serbia and one of the largest in the region, which was visited by more than 60,000 people in the first two months. In addition to permanent and guest exhibitions, the Palace of Science also houses 20 research centers that will provide our young scientists and talents with the best conditions to develop careers in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in their country.
“Miodrag Kostić’s endowment and the Palace of Science represent a project for the future, which will start a wave of technological innovations in the region. We are extremely proud of the recognition that was given to us for one of the most important projects so far, in which more than 25 million euros have been invested. MK Group is regionally recognized as a socially responsible company, which has committed itself to continuing to invest in children, youth and education in the coming period,” said Aleksandra Stojanović, director of the Palace of Science project and director of corporate affairs of MK Group.
This is the second recognition that Moja Srbija awards to the MK Group company, which was previously the winner of the “My Choice 2013” gold medal for socially responsible business in 2013.
