The Embassy of Romania held a gala reception on the occasion of “The Statehood Day” of the Republic of Romania, thus celebrating the national day of our neighbouring country. The reception was held in Hotel Hyatt in Belgrade, and the solemn event was attended by many ambassadors and prominent figures from the political and social life.
In his opening speech, the host of the party, Romanian Ambassador, H E Daniel Banu said that the relations between our countries every year got better and he was confident that this trend would continue. Along with the President of the Assembly of Serbia Maja Gojković, he cut the anniversary cake, and guests had the opportunity to enjoy in other tasty delicacies. Romania celebrates “The Statehood Day” since 1918, when Transylvania united with the Kingdom of Romania while Bessarabia and Bukovina simultaneously returned within the borders of that country.
