Celebrating ten years of operations under the name Air Serbia, Serbia’s national airline has designed new uniforms. The new design represents a unique combination of motifs of Serbian cultural heritage and the recognizable symbols of Air Serbia.
The uniforms were unveiled to the public last night during an event commemorating the tenth anniversary of operations under the name Air Serbia, and as of today, passengers will be able to see cabin and flight crew members, as well as ground service and Premium Lounge teams and sales agents in all Air Serbia retail shops wearing their new uniforms.
Since uniforms are among the hallmarks of every airline, great care is taken in their design. On this occasion, Air Serbia held a competition to which several fashion designers submitted their entries. Fashion designer Milena Bojić came up with the most appealing concept that also best satisfies the requirements of the national carrier. According to her, comfort and design were equally taken into account when designing the new Air Serbia uniforms.
“The uniform is the first thing passengers see, however, functionality is an absolute priority for Air Serbia cabin and flight crew. We worked on designing and perfecting the uniforms for more than six months. I tried to create uniforms that are visually attractive but simultaneously comfortable. I hope I succeeded in that,” says Milena Bojić.
The visual identity change of Air Serbia is planned as part of the company’s ten-year anniversary celebrations. Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek believes that the new uniforms are fully in line with Air Serbia’s essence.
“Our company cultivates a unique blend of traditional and modern features in its operations. Proud of our glorious past, we are looking into the future. With this idea in mind, we created our new uniforms, which include the elements of Serbian tradition and culture, while being elegant and modern at the same time. I am sure that our colleagues will wear them with pride, and serve as ambassadors of their country and the Serbian national airline”, says Marek.
Designed by Milena Bojić, the new Air Serbia uniforms were made by Lus Textile. The toques were made by Ercegovac, and scarves and hats by Tribeca.
