NLB Bank Belgrade started to approve agricultural loans from the programme of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
Loans from this programme are intended for the development of livestock, crop, fruit growing, viticulture, vegetable and flower growing, investment in agricultural machinery and equipment and the supply of animal feed. They are approved in dinars, without a currency clause, with a repayment term of up to 12 months for short-term loans, and for long-term loans up to 36 months, with the possibility of obtaining a grace period of one year. For certain types of machinery and equipment, there is a possibility of borrowing up to 60 months. The state subsidizes the interest rate, which is 3% for the beneficiaries, while young farmers, women farm owners and farmers from underdeveloped areas can receive funds from this program with an interest rate of only 1%.
