In the presence of the Speaker of the National Assembly, members of the Government of Serbia, representatives of the diplomatic corps, cultural life and a large number of media, the Museum was opened by the Serbian PM Ana Brnabić, whose cabinet was in charge of the opening of the National Museum, which was closed for 15 years.
The permanent setting encompasses an extensive chronological range from the distant Palaeolithic to the art of the 20th century. Organised on three levels in a building that represents a cultural monument itself, the exhibitions will be arranged on 5000 m2 of exhibition space. The working hours of the National Museum are: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm, Thursdays and Saturdays from 12 to 8pm. The price of a single ticket will be 300 dinars, while the Sunday entrance will be free.
