Quite a few of our employees are working from home, and ATMs and online banking services are available to our clients at all times
We spoke with Mr. Predrag Vasić, Chairman of Executive Board of Vojvođanska Banka about organizing their business activities. “Communication with our clients is running smoothly and we strive to meet everyone’s needs, respond to every request and always be there for them. We are also always there for our employees because they and their families are a priority for us in this difficult situation. They can always reach out to us for whatever they need, related to work or private life” said Predrag.
How did you organize your business activities? How is communication with clients going and what do you think about the moratorium (on repayment of loans)?
Since the COVID-19 pandemic and the state of emergency were declared in our country, Vojvođanska Banka has adjusted its operations to the fullest extent possible. From the beginning, we have been continuously following the recommendations of health professionals and state authorities, based on which all required sanitary and safety measures have been implemented. Following the measures of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, we adjusted the working hours of our branches, which, since March 26, are mostly open until 2 pm, while some are closed altogether. Quite a few of our employees are working from home, and ATMs and online banking services are available to our clients at all times. We have also paid special attention to pensioners and senior citizens over the age of 65, since, as we all know, they are not allowed to leave their homes. That is why our bank has introduced several novelties exclusively for pensioners so they don’t have to worry about the disbursement of their pensions.
Communication with our clients is running smoothly and we strive to meet everyone’s needs, respond to every request and always be there for them. We are also always there for our employees because they and their families are a priority for us in this difficult situation. They can always reach out to us for whatever they need, related to work or private life. To preserve the financial stability in the country, the National Bank of Serbia has introduced a moratorium (on payment of loans), and it is our duty, as a financial institution, to support this decision and offer the moratorium option to our clients. They have been promptly informed about all the details of the moratorium and we will try to find the best solution for each client.
How important is it for companies to stand in solidarity and support and donate to the healthcare system?
Vojvodjanska Banka recognizes the gravity of the situation and was among the first organizations to join and give concrete assistance to the Serbian healthcare system. We were the first to respond to UNICEF’s campaign and donate one million dinars towards the purchase of respirators to help our healthcare professionals who are fighting the most important battle in this moment. We are not stopping there, as we are considering other forms of assistance too. Vojvodjanska Banka will be providing more help shortly.
How do you spend your private time during the pandemic?
Well, I don’t have a lot of free time on my hands. I spend it at home, with my family, watching TV and on my computer.
What will you do first after the state of emergency is abolished?
I will visit my parents and hug them tightly.
