Prima Facie on January 16th at the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad

Monodrama PRIMA FACIE will be played at the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad, on January 16 from 7:30 p.m., on the “Pera Dobrinović” stage

This monodrama has as its theme the problem of sexual violence against women, from a lawyer’s perspective. The play was produced by the actress Maša Dakić in the monodrama, and the director is Anja Suša. The actress was recently awarded the Special Recognition of the Victimology Society of Serbia for her outstanding contribution in treating this problem.

This intriguing, brave and unusual legal drama follows a young, self-confident, ambitious lawyer with a competitive spirit, who is extremely successful in the field of criminal law. As a defense attorney with a bright perspective, he enjoys cross-examining and clarifying any doubt. An unexpected event forces her to confront deeply distorted notions of power, law, ethics and morality.

Suzi Miller, an Australian lawyer, wrote the most structured and performed dramatic text of the last two theater seasons, which is played around the world and has a significant impact on the justice system and brings concrete changes in the approach to cases related to sexual violence.
