The conference “Energy efficiency in buildings with regard to the use of geothermal energy for heating and cooling”, organised on 24th May by the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbia) and under the auspices of the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy, confirmed the technical and economic viability of using geothermal heating and cooling systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Representatives of the seven German companies are residing in Belgrade in order to find business partners. In Germany this system is used by about 720,000 heat pumps, said David Piegazki, Board member of AHK Serbia. Lectures enabled the participants to understand the examples from practice and to gain insight into the current situation, as well as potential and possible measures to improve the financing of projects in the field of energy efficiency in buildings. A large contribution to this gathering was given by representatives of German companies Geokoax, Viessmann, Qundis GmbH, Innovation Arena, Testo AG, MTU Onsite Energy and Vaillant, who presented their innovative products and services in this field.
