“We are hopeful that the first UK Royal Visit to Serbia since Prince Charles’ own visit in the late ‘70s will provide a real boost to our bilateral engagement with Serbia ahead of the 180th anniversary of the establishing of official diplomatic relations”, says H.E. Denis Keefe, British Ambassador to Serbia, in his interview for D&C magazine.
Choosing not to comment on internal political matters, such as the upcoming elections in Serbia, the British Ambassador notes that “it is in the interest of Serbia that internal dynamics don’t get in the way of reforms and changes that bring benefits to citizens and the society.” While British technical and expert assistance is running smoothly, regardless of electoral processes, the most exciting part of bilateral relations at present are preparations for the first UK Royal Visit to Serbia since Prince Charles’ made his own last visit in.
