Japan Tobacco International (JTI), in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, for the seventh year in a row, announces Sakura scholarship award for all curious and ambitious students and researchers who have Japan as one of the area of interest. Applications for the competition are opened until January 15, 2018, and all students of elementary and postgraduate studies, as well as researchers who are not employed full-time, have the right to participate with their research ideas.
The application can be filed using the form at the website www.sakurastipendije.rs, where the candidates are required to elaborate their idea for a paper about Japan – whether it’s law, political science, economy, philosophy, culture and art, Japanese language and literature or Kaizen.
The Sakura scholarship was named after the Japanese Cherry Tree which is known as the symbol of happiness and prosperity. The JTI and the Embassy of Japan believe that talented researchers and students, such as Sakura scholarship winners, will bring prosperity to Serbia and contribute to promoting better understanding between the two nations.
