For the eighth consecutive year, the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM) presents the SAM Annual Award. The award ceremony was attended by the prominent business figures from Serbia.
Recognized inside and outside his company as a person of integrity and reputation, and based on the achieved business results, the 2019 Manager of the Year Award went to Mihailo Janković, CEO of Nectar.
“This award is a great honour for me because it comes from the business people; from the Serbian Association of Manager. The award represents a great obligation and responsibility for the future,”said Mihailo Janković, upon receiving the Manager of the Year award.
Microsoft won the 2019 Employer of the Year Award. According to the SAM members, in 2019, this company provided the best conditions for work and development of professional managers.
Aleksandar Vučić, CEO of CarGo, is the recipient of the 2019 Young Manager of the Year Award as an example of a contemporary young leader who, with disruptive innovation and business approach, raises the quality of life of people in Serbia.
Delta Holding is the winner of the Socially Responsible Company of the Year Award, according to the votes of the SAM members.
Due to its positive impact on the environment and youth development and a special contribution to promoting youth leadership, this year the Sample of Leadership Award, presented by the SAMPLE Youth Task Force, was given to the Pexim Foundation.
This year, as responsible individuals and as a professional association of managers, the Serbian Association of Managers wanted to promote equality between women and men in daily life, and above all, in the business environment, as well as to support those people who are in the front line in this struggle. Hence, the award for Personal Heroic Act went to Marija Lukić from Brus. The award was presented by Dejan Turk, the 2018 SAM Manager of the Year and CEO of Vip Mobile & A1 Slovenia.
Also, three special awards for business competitiveness were given out. The Lukowa Academy received the award for educating and involving young people in the manufacturing industry. The Food Industry Innovation Award went to Desing d.o.o. while dm drogerie markt Serbia is the recipient of the Local Entrepreneurship Development Award.
