The Austrian company IMMOFINANZ completed the second phase of the construction of its retail park STOP SHOP Vršac during September 2022. The retail park was expanded by as much as 2,000 m2, thus reaching a total sales area of more than 10,000 m2, and was enriched with three new tenants – Pepco, New Yorker and N sport.
“As STOP SHOP Vršac was experiencing an increased demand from potential tenants, IMMOFINANZ has decided to build additional commercial space, expand the mix of tenants, enabling customers to meet their wide range of shopping needs in one place. STOP SHOP Vršac is strengthening its position as the largest facility of its kind in the city and its surroundings, and is fully let. Also, in the coming period, we will try to further develop the existing retail parks throughout Serbia”, said Maja Marić, Country Operations manager in charge of the STOP SHOP brand in Serbia.
During the opening, many fun activities were organized for the youngest, such as climbing on an artificial rock, a piñata full of sweets, children’s play and other. The evening program was led by Prljavi Inspektor Blaža, and the adults enjoyed the popular hits of the Tropico band in addition to the Don Maconi band.
In STOP SHOP Vršac, as well as in the retail parks of this brand in Borča, Subotica, Smederevo and Požarevac, smart benches, designed by the Serbian startup Strawberry Energy, have recently been installed that provide visitors with access to phone chargers, free Wi-Fi internet connection and data about weather and air quality in real time. Powered exclusively by solar energy and able to store energy on days when there is no sun, as well as during the night, they are perfect places for STOP SHOP visitors to rest, charge their phones and plan their shopping.
IMMOFINANZ opened the STOP SHOP in Vršac more than four years ago, in April 2018, as the sixth in Serbia. In the meantime, the portfolio of this brand in our country has been expanded to as many as 14 STOP SHOP retail parks, with a total of approximately 122,300 m2 of fully leased sales space.
