The French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (CCIFS) granted the awards called the Student Prize, and the ceremony was held on Friday, 24th June at the French Institute in Belgrade.
As part of its activities related to sustainable development, the Chamber, this year, for the sixth time, announced a competition for university students in Serbia urging them to write an essay on “Circular Economy: The new economic approach in response to climate change and the growing demand for resources”. Before that, the six finalists were chosen given an opportunity to present their work.
The first prize of 1,500 euros, sponsored by Veolia Central & Eastern Europe, won Mihalj Bakator from the Technical Faculty “Mihajlo Pupin” in Zrenjanin. The second prize of 1,000 euros, sponsored by Schneider Electric, was awarded to Jovan Milić from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, while Tatjana Vujović from the Economic Faculty in Belgrade won the third prize of 500 euros, which was granted by Lafarge.
