On Monday, February 11th, in the ceremonial hall of Metropol Hotel in Belgrade, organized by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran was officially marked.
The ceremony was attended by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Finance, as well as numerous officials from the aforementioned and other Ministries of the Republic of Serbia. Among the officials were the Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Serbia and numerous high-ranking military officials, ambassadors and military attachés of foreign countries in Serbia, the president of the Iranian-Serbian Friendship Parliamentary Group, members of the Assembly of Serbia, representatives of the Islamic Religious Community and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church . There were also numerous representatives of the media, economic, cultural and scientific institutions of Serbia, as well as guests from Montenegro – member of the Montenegrin Parliament Dr. Nedžad Drešević and member of the Iranian-Montenegrin Friendship Parliamentary Group.
At the beginning of the ceremony, H.E. the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Serbia, Hosein Mola Abdolahi, expressed gratitude to the guests who responded in large numbers to the invitation to together with Iranians living and working in Serbia mark this significant jubilee.
Ambassadors of foreign countries in Serbia, including the ambassadors of Palestine, France, Great Britain, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Cyprus, Hungary, Qatar, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Myanmar, Cuba, Venezuela, Slovenia, Romania, Morocco, Algeria, Lebanon, Tunisia, heads of international organizations and Iraqi, Syrian, Indonesian, Malaysian, Russian, Italian, Russian, Italian and military attachés, congratulated this anniversary to the ambassador and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution was accompanied by an exhibition of traditional Iranian handicrafts and art objects, as well as works by Persian literature translated into Serbian, in order to present one of the achievements of the Iranian-Islamic culture.
