The recognition of the influential American magazine is based on high marks in the criteria of employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability
On September 12, 2024, the American news magazine TIME announced that JYSK is on the list of the best companies in the world. One thousand companies were scored from 1-100 based on three criteria: employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability. The companies with the highest ratings were declared the best world companies for 2024 by TIME magazine, and JYSK received a rating of 79.65.
“We are extremely proud to have received this recognition from the prestigious TIME magazine. This is another indicator that as a company we are growing in a socially responsible way, with a focus on employee satisfaction, empowerment and a sense of belonging. It is extremely important for us that our employees are themselves as they build a successful career, and this significant recognition confirms that we are doing it right,” said Jan Verhoek, Executive Vice President for Human Resources at JYSK.
High motivation of JYSK employees JYSK has already been named one of the best employers in the world twice by the American business magazine Forbes, when 170,000 employees from more than 50 countries were invited to rate their multinational employers. Based on the survey, a list of the 700 best employers in the world was created. Internal surveys conducted in the company JYSKu confirm what TIME and Forbes magazines have already recognized.
JYSK’s employee satisfaction survey from January 2024 shows that employees are more motivated, satisfied and loyal to their workplace compared to the market average. 97 percent of employees from stores, offices and distribution centers participated in the survey, and the company received a score of 75 out of 100 for the criteria that includes job satisfaction, 82 out of 100 for company loyalty and 83 out of 100 when it comes to company values: sales skills , collegiality and corporate spirit.
Information about TIME recognition: The project includes all companies that recorded at least $100 million in revenue in 2023 or the most recent financial year.
● Employee satisfaction is assessed based on data from worldwide surveys, with more than 170,000 participants from global companies in over 50 countries.
● After identifying companies with an above-average level of satisfaction, data from the Statista revenue database for the last three years was reviewed and revenue growth for each company was assessed.
● Companies that performed above average in terms of employee satisfaction and revenue growth were evaluated on various key environmental, social responsibility and corporate governance (ESG) performance indicators. All three criteria are added together with an equal percentage in order to form a final grade of a maximum of 100 points.
The companies with the highest ratings have been named the world’s best companies for 2024 by TIME magazine.
