Turkish Cuisine Week is held for the first time this year on the week of 21-27 May. The event is celebrated with promotional events in Türkiye and abroad, including in Serbia.
On this occasion, a high-level dinner with a fine dining concept was organized at the Turkish Ambassador’s Residence on 24 May 2022. Ambassador H.E. Hami Aksoy and his spouse Dr. Canan Parmaksızoğlu Aksoy welcomed the guests, sharing information on the healthy, waste-free and traditional aspects of the Turkish cuisine. At the event, Istanbul Menu was promoted with recipes from the gastronomy book Turkish Cuisine with Timeless Recipes.
The book Turkish Cuisine with Timeless Recipes was published under the leadership of First Lady Emine Erdoğan and under the auspices of Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, and in cooperation with the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
With contributions from prominent chefs, academics, and gastronomy researchers, Turkish Cuisine with Timeless Recipes draws attention to the famous Turkish cuisine and its waste-free, ecological and sustainable characteristics. In addition to discussing the healthy storage and cooking techniques used in Turkish gastronomy, the book is intended to preserve centuries-old traditional recipes in their original form, and to make them accessible to future generations.
